Well, time has absolutely flown with many adventures squeezed in. In the past two weeks we have lived every second to the max it seems having gone to Hua Hin resort for a long weekend, Ayuthaya ancient capital of Thailand and the new Six Senses resort on Koh Yao Noi (my absolute favourite and perhaps also the most beautiful place in the world so far) on one of the many islands jutting out Phang Nga Bay in Phuket. Not to mention all the markets, attractions, shopping, parks, museums, restaurants and of course work inbetween!
The highlights were:
- Eating noodle soup in a longtail boat on the river in Ayuthaya.
- Vipassana meditation course in the Earth Spa, Hua Hin.
- BMW 7 series and speedboat transfer to Koh Yao Noi resort.
- Long tail boat trip around the islands in Phang Nga Bay.
- Canoeing along the caves and limestone formations of the islands.
- Floating a flower wreath with candles on water in the dark seeing luminous plankton below.
- Khun Tim making veggie/fruit juices in the morning and pampering our guests.
- Learning how to give Thai massages in the resort spa.
- Painting my fingernails red for the first time!
- glorious food! (hovering dangerously near 60kilos)
- Long girlie chats with Mafalda ;-)
- Facial treatment experience with Mafalda in a luxurious private hospital.
The next few weeks will probably be more of the same. After writing this I need to find a nice but cheap resort for next weekend inland which will act as a good base for hiking, waterfall visits and four wheel drive trips. I now have three private students which is terrific and brings in much needed extra dosh this month. I have also gone to a dermatologist who has put me on a three stage programme to clear up my acne - involving infrared laser - strange having my eyes closed with goggles and still seeing a bright light. Results are positive so far. Right, off to do some research for next weekend and cook some fish for dinner. Will update again soon....
